    ANOTHER WEEKEND IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

My neighborhood is bigger than Trinidad. I was in St. Vincent over the weekend teaching a class in our MINTS study center. Between classes (Friday night and Saturday afternoon), I taught a 3 hours seminar on Suicide prevention. Those who attended the seminar were students, pastors and professional care people who work with those who have attempted suicide. On Sunday morning I preached at the church in the mountains called Hill Top Pentecostal Church. The pastor is in our master's program at MINTS. All in all, it was an interesting weekend and I a glad to be back home.
Today is our anniversary. Adanna and I have been married for 25 years!
Here are some pictures from the weekend!

The lady in the picture is a member of Hill Top Church. She is the wife of St.Vincent's
ambassador to Cuba. She is originally from Cuba and has been living there with her
husband for the past 3 years. We discussed how MINTS and Mission Trinidad can
help get teaching materials the churches in Cuba. I will be working on a shipment from
Ligonier since she is part of an Evangelical group that reaches out to English speaking international
    aid workers.

Good to hear what God is doing. Happy anniversary as well - certainly also what God is doing!

Steve, so great to receive your comment. It has been a long time since we've communicated.  I'm in a rush but I'll stop back by your blog later on 2day to catch up on what's happening with you.  Have a swell day!

hey Uncle Steve thanx for stopping by the other day. As you can see from my last post things aren't too great with my moms side of the family. My Uncle Jim finally passed away last Thursday and the funeral will be tomorrow from what I understand. Other then my uncle though things are looking up and still being blessed. Hope your doing good as well. God bless!

Hi Pastor McGee, So nice to hear from you. Thanks for the encouragement and don't worry, we won't join the Ref. Baptist congregation, but we'll be attending there for awhile until the Lord leads us elsewhere. I am always in awe of how you can befriend and be hospitable to so many Muslims, Hindus and other radical unbelievers. But it humbles me too. After all, God took us out of the miry clay and loved us so much to die for us. Why shouldn't we reach out similarly to others? Sometimes, I think that God has called us to be "missionaries" here in Omaha/Council Bluffs in a less drastic sort of way. I'll be praying for God's work in Trinidad and Tobago (and Cuba) and all over this earth.
